While I'm generally happy with Swann products, this camera is a little disappointing. One of my original cameras broke down and unfortunately Swann didn't replace it even though it was still under warranty. It wasn't worth fighting for, so I bought it as a spare. While it works well and hasn't given me any problems at the time of this review, it's not very well built. The entire camera is made of plastic, unlike the original cameras which had metal bases and assemblies. Also with this camera, the lens fogs up a bit with night vision, although I have experienced this with older models as well. Overall it works and solved my problem, but I was disappointed that Swann didn't honor their warranty. Also very disappointed that they changed the design to use more plastic and less metal. I don't expect this to hold up well to the elements while the original metal construction was much stronger. As a side note if you are buying this to replace an old model you can remove the metal base from the old model and the switch from the plastic of the new model. While this doesn't greatly affect the overall strength of the camera, it does offer a much more robust mounting structure. Two stars because it works, but I don't necessarily recommend this camera unless you're in a pinch.
