HARDWARE: The hardware is GOLD, not SILVER. Very disappointed as I hate gold hardware. I feel fooled because the hardware looks silver in the picture. SMELL: As others have mentioned, the smell is very noticeable. The bag smells like motor oil or a new rubber tire. This is probably because it is plastic and rubber and plastic contain oil. The smell goes beyond the usual industrial smells. It's really powerful. FYI, I love the smell of new tires but it's not the same! I can't use the bag until the smell is gone because it's too strong and it burns my eyes and nose. Air the bag to see if the smell is gone. MATERIAL: The handbag looks very smooth and classy in the photo. It looks slightly plastic up close, but it can pass as leather from a few meters away. The straps are leather on the outside and fabric on the bottom, which I didn't notice. This makes the bag look a little cheaper. In general, given the cheap price, I am satisfied with the appearance. If it wasn't for the gold hardware and smell it would have been perfect for my needs. SIZE: The bag is very roomy and has a small zip pocket on the back which I didn't know about. I usually carry quite a few items with me and this is a great size if you plan on using it as a wallet. I believe it fits an iPad, but I suspect a standard-sized computer won't fit comfortably. RETURNS: As promised, I've updated my comments on whether or not I've returned the bag. I sent it back today. In fact, the motor oil/rubber tire smell is so strong I just couldn't handle it. I've aired it outside all day and still no change. Between my burning eyes and nose when the purse was near, and the hardware being gold instead of silver, I just felt like it wasn't the right purchase for me. If you doubt the accuracy of my and other statements about the smell, please trust all of these comments. I really like this bag and would order based on size and look. IF . it came with silver hardware and didn't have that awful smell. The supplier understood this and provided a free return label and refunded my credit card in full.
