This hanger is great both visually and functionally. I hang something on almost every hook immediately after assembly: a heavy winter coat, a heavy jacket, a raincoat and some sweatshirts. No problems so far, it's been a few weeks. I also use part of the shelf for my wallet and keys. My only criticism of this item is the mounting holes that slide over the screw heads and weren't routed properly. They weren't wide enough for the screw heads to fit under the bezel. I have a Dremel so I just removed the pads and expanded the slots myself. If you don't have a Dremel tool, you may need to send it back and get a replacement. I believe it was an accidental defect, but you should be aware of that. In general, I really like the product and I recommend it.
