The tape could cause a blister
My father liked the light and comfortable shoes with socks. He once wore them with no socks and the strap caused a 3 inch blister on his foot. He's diabetic, so it got very worrying. Be careful with the strap.

- I used to order a size larger to be on the safe side and this one was actually too wide.
