I bought this for my Salsa Bucksaw Fat Bike, mainly for the tail light function, but the alarm gives me a slight sense of security when parked on the street in front of a pizzeria . the trip. Installation was easy and connecting to USB wasn't a problem. I ride a lot in the wet so I put a silicone bead around the two halves of the battery/light housing as a precaution. The light is very bright, but I've never run out of battery on a trip. The beep is loud enough to scare someone off as you speed down the trail. And the alarm is sensitive enough to go off if someone tips the bike against a building. The only improvement I can think of is to make the buttons on the remote bigger or increase the distance between them. When you're riding and trying to follow the track, you have to rely on the feel of manipulating the controls, just like the brake levers (you don't look at them). The buttons on the remote control require a look at them every time. No less difficult with gloves. Four stars, if you could change the remote I would give five stars.
