I see in the reviews that several people have had problems with this product. This is the second time I have bought this replacement lamp. It worked great for me both times. My 1080ST should have around 5000 on the lamp timer (I think). Being a thrifty person (or procrastinator), I waited about 6500 hours before buying a second replacement bulb. I've never had any problems at all. One of the tips is to be careful not to touch the bulb itself with your hand when installing the module. Oil on your skin can damage the lamp if it becomes very hot from use.
