The most unprofessional office/business printer

My Epson died after only 2 years and I was told it would cost more to replace the part than to buy a new one. I felt it wasn't sustainable and I needed a more reliable printer. I chose Canon because my travel Canon Pixma iP100 is still great after a decade. I chose the MB5420 for its fast printing, wireless capability and good color print/copy quality. It turned out to be unsatisfactory in every respect. I stupidly didn't open it until 30 days later and found I couldn't get it to print wirelessly. I've been told that the hub may be too far away (30ft) and the wireless connection isn't very good. We finally got it but the print quality was terrible. This is a disgrace to any business or office. Canon replaced the device under warranty. The second also had print quality issues. I can't count the hours I've spent sending them samples and on the phone (and I'll say the techs are lovely - just the product is terrible). They replaced it a second time, assuming maybe I had too high expectations and the unit wasn't working the way I wanted it to (you know how business grade quality is). Second, I thought I could live, but working from home for just one day was a nightmare. Sometimes it won't connect to print, sometimes it can't find a computer to scan. Color printing is TERRIBLE. Even the black writing has a fuzzy writing. Copy a color print and it doesn't look like the original colors at all. I've finally got out my trusty Pimxa and am using it to get me through a work day (10 years and never had an ink clog and always fast and accurate printing. Proof that Canon are able to make a durable and quality product that just isn't the MB5420.) Don't repeat my mistake. I've spent over $300 avoiding disposable printers and now I have to throw them out anyway. Even if it sells for less than $200, it's not worth it. Avoid doing this, especially if you are a professional and need these prints for clients.
