Fun Starter Gadgets with Video

This set of Magic Makers suits us. I was a bit frustrated at first because I couldn't access as many online lessons as advertised, but I figured it out. The set contains everything a young magician or audience needs as described. Item as in the photo. These are simple looking things and some of them have tricks built in and some of them require some skill. My toddler loved the ball trick (video) and this is the first trick he's tried. We really like this one. We don't like the coloring book. The trick depends on the edges, and the edges are thin, jagged, and cheap so it doesn't work consistently. The yellow box with a hidden compartment is one of the funniest things I can find on my desk. Scanning the code in the box led me to short videos explaining how to use the items in the box. All others were banned and required a paid subscription. Inside the box was another sheet with a QR code, and it turned out to activate a $35 coupon to unlock a $35 study guide set that includes all the videos promised. While the installation and lifting looks 1985 in the video, the lessons are easy to understand and follow. My guess is that the basic idea of magic has changed little over a long period of time. They go beyond the magic set and have content that can be used outside of them. Overall, this is a fun set, and while the items alone might not cost $35, when combined with the online tutorials, it's a good value for getting started with magic.
