Great price and great performance.

TL:DR Great design. The sound quality is quite good. It feels solid. A few small issues I can live with. I'm not an audiophile so I won't go into detail but I would say they are better than the Beats headphones you will see people rocking on the subway with. If you want to block EVERYTHING around you, it depends on your sensitivity and the size of your ears. For example, I showed them to my wife and she tried them on. I didn't hear her or the running water in the sink. When she tried them on, she found it difficult to get the ear cups to fit her ears well, so she could still hear the water flowing. They look good and stylish. The left earcup has a soft-touch finish that's slightly velvety. Of the flaws I have, the interface on the right is a bit finicky. You're supposed to be able to cover the interface with your palm, and it's supposed to let you hear your surroundings, transmit what the microphone picks up and amplify it. This is often recognized as a two finger tap and will pause the music. You have to be very careful how you perform the gesture for it to work. Also, the two finger tap to stop/start the audio isn't always recorded, so I have to do it again. These are things I can live with, but I'm hoping that they'll be fixed with a firmware update (I doubt that will be the case as it's been around for a while and you'd think it would is typed as it may be). Continuing with the interface, they are said to have an in-ear sensor that pauses the music when you take them off and plays when you put them back on. I've had issues with it and am wondering if the sensor is broken or if it's just buggy (there's a setting in the app for that that you can toggle on or off). Like many of its current competitors, it uses Micro-USB for charging. I hope when Libratone makes V2 they will implement USB-C. The last thing I would like to mention is that the white/grey tones are very stylish, but right out of the box there seems to be some marks on the finish. left auricle. The velvety finish seems prone to light staining. You'll only notice this if you look closely, and it seems like it's due to wear and tear from movement. There's foam padding to keep the earbuds from moving back and forth, but nothing to stop them from moving up and down during shipping (and you know packages are seldom handled with care). Overall I'm currently happy with the headphones and the quality for the price I bought them for (less than $150). I would like to add that all my comments are related to the firmware update and this is the latest version available through the app.
