Review on 🐾 Convenient and Versatile: Four Paws Folding Panel Gate for Easy Pet Containment by Kim Adams

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The perfect barrier to keep little beasts at bay!

I first bought this gate to use in the bedroom to divide the space in half and for that I needed a 5 leaf gate. I moved it to its current location and three panels would be long enough, but it's easy enough to tape the end next to the wall and make it a little stronger. It slides pretty easily when my chihuahua pushes on the edge so I added brick weights (like those used to hold up a pop up tent) and it works great. I'm very happy with this gate, but accidentally kicking it while climbing over broke two of the poles that I attached with Gorilla Glue. It's a great gate for the price and the perfect height to keep puppies at bay, but it's easy to step over (haha, most of the time) and our cat can jump over to get her food. The color of the wood matches our floors but isn't as good as the darker wood finishes of some other doors I've seen. Also, there should be a few folds between the panels to keep it upright and allow each panel to bend in a different direction. All of this works great for us, but it's something to keep in mind when choosing between goals. If your dog is ambitious (and taller), he may be too short and/or too light. If he were on a carpet he wouldn't slide as easily, but a prehensile dog could still push him without the extra weight. Overall I recommend this gate for small dogs and will buy again!
