The remote control that came with my refurbished Philips DVD/VCR didn't work. I called support and found a person who didn't speak English that half the world could understand. After much deliberation and a few spare batteries, the man finally admitted that the remote control didn't work. I received an email address and was told to send an explanation and they will send me a new remote. That was a few months ago and the remote control never arrived. I can operate the device using the front panel buttons, but I cannot program it or perform advanced functions. It was a bad deal.
