This 1ft 60w USB-C cable from Anker allowed my slightly older power bank to charge my newly purchased tablet computer. I have an OT-PW259 power supply with USB A and USB-C outputs and came with "plain" cables. When I finally bought a mid-range USB-C device (tablet), I found that the 'plain' USB-C cable that came with the power adapter was rejected by the tablet computer: no charge , not even an answer. Power bank didn't even wake up when connected to the tablet. Yes, a simple USB-C cable from the power bank is fine: you can use it to charge simpler devices via adapters, but not USB Power Delivery (PD) devices. On the other hand, this anchor cable ensures correct detection. When you use it to connect the power bank to the tablet, the power bank will wake up from sleep mode and the tablet will be charged. And voila! If I abuse an Anker cable to connect a mere 18W PSU to a powerful (45W) computer, the PSU wakes up and the devices properly don't negotiate a charge: a bad PSU simply won't be able to to keep up. In addition to its USB-C PD duty, the Anker cable comes with a small Velcro or Velcro-like strap, which is a nice touch when needed.
