Cable Matter's Infrared Remote Extender does what it says on the tin. My problem was that my amp was in a closet, which meant the door had to be open at all times so I could control the volume on my TV. I knew such devices existed and looked for a solution from Revain. I liked this product for the great reviews and low price, but just as important, the LED indicator light only activated when a command was received. I didn't want obtrusive, always-on lights interfering with my vision. Installation was easy, quick and self-explanatory. There were no detailed instructions, but each line was labeled for its purpose. I didn't have any problems with the glue on the transmitter sensor because I carefully chose the right position for it before applying it. Likewise, I had no problem with the distance from which it can pick up a signal. In my open plan family room/kitchen, I can control it from up to 25 feet away. In short I am very happy with this purchase and expect it to last for many years to come.
