Description of 📡 Infrared Remote Extender Cable by Cable Matters - 10ft IR Repeater Cable

IR remote control cable extends the signal to a video source like a Blu-ray player so it can be controlled from your TV; Blue LED in IR Receiver bulb verifies the signal transmission. Home theater accessory repeats the IR signal to a DVD player, STB box, Receiver or other A/V source with an IR sensor; Route the infrared remote control extender cable out of sight with a wall mounted TV; Install the IR Transmitter end in a concealed equipment closet to hide a CATV box and control it remotely. Simple installation of this lightweight IR cable; Locate the IR Blaster near the source sensor to repeat the signal to the source; Place the IR Receiver in a convenient location with line of sight of your hand-held remote; IR Tx and Rx cables have adhesive circles on the back for mounting. USB powered IR extension cable has an integrated 6 foot Y-cable to receive 5V USB power; USB cable on the IR remote extender cable connects to a TV USB power port or to a USB wall charger. Universal compatibility of IR extender cable with most A/V equipment with infrared sensors (not RF); 30 degree IR Receiver angle provides plenty of leeway to get the right angle with your remote.

Doesn't work at all

I am very surprised by all the positive reviews for this product. This only works when I'm using the TV remote within 4 inches of the receiver! So basically you have to be standing directly in front of the TV and pointing the remote directly in front of the receiver for it to work. Despite this, it is very slow, so when pressing the buttons, it lags a few seconds after pressing the buttons on the remote control. It's basically useless unless you want to get up and face the TV every time you use

To hide Uverse and Apple TV Box

I was able to use this to hide Uverse and Apple TV Box in a closet with this one device. I routed the receiver wire from the bottom of the TV where I attached it with the clear command strip. At the end of the closet I used a command strip hook to attach the end of the transmitter to the closet door. The Uverse box and Apple TV sit on top of each other about 4 inches apart. A block will then control both well. This has been working for 8 months and I no longer have to open the closet door for…

PERFECT! 😃 in Audio & Video Accessories

I needed this because my soundbar was blocking the IR sensor on the TV remote and it works great. The only reason it took at least a minute to install was the time it took to untangle the wires. I didn't even have to use the sticky pad on the back of the IR emitter as I just placed the IR emitter on the TV stand face up. Next to the TV's IR sensor, which is located on the bottom of my TCL Roku TV. Keep in mind that on my TV at least, the TV's USB port only gets power when the TV is on, so I had

What TCL owners need

If you have a TCL 55P605 or 607 then this remote extension is a must have. As you know; The TCL remote control sensor is located directly in front of the TV. So if you place the center speaker somewhere in front of it; It blocks the sensor, which is why the remote control does not work. The only other option is to purchase the $50 RC80 remote. The Cable Matters extension cord is much cheaper. Simply attach the sensor to the front of your TV, position the extension cable in line of sight of the…

LOVE IT! I moved all my TV gear from.

I LOVE IT! I moved all my TV gear from the top of my TV entertainment center (a converted vintage dresser as a compliment to YouTube - lol) to the drawers below. This product was required in order to continue using the satellite receiver remote control that was moved to a dresser drawer. Many satellite receivers have IR ports that are typically required for IR extenders. My satellite receiver (Cisco U-Verse) does not have an infrared port. It has a USB connector that works with this product. I…

Don't block your IR sensor

Fits me perfectly. Reading the negative reviews, one might think that the installation can be a bit confusing due to the lack of instructions. Some users can stick double-sided tape on the side of the transmitter directly onto their device's IR sensor. If you look closely at the end of the transmitter you will see a SMALL red dot with a hole at the top of the transmitter head. You must attach the extender to the device so that this red dot with a hole goes directly over the IR sensor and NOT on

Great when they work properly

I'm tempted to give 4 or even 5 stars because when they work they are fantastic and Cable Matters are usually great. However, you get 3 because we are constantly having trouble registering a signal on our devices. We tried: - Multiple brackets on the TV - Multiple brackets on or in front of the cable box and Apple TV - Change batteries in the remote controls - Move the TV away from the wall so the stove doesn't create as many obstacles as possible, if any - Use one at a time. They seem to work…

Great product, works as promised

Cable Matter's Infrared Remote Extender does what it says on the tin. My problem was that my amp was in a closet, which meant the door had to be open at all times so I could control the volume on my TV. I knew such devices existed and looked for a solution from Revain. I liked this product for the great reviews and low price, but just as important, the LED indicator light only activated when a command was received. I didn't want obtrusive, always-on lights interfering with my vision…

The perfect solution to my problem

Other reviews suggest this is a common problem: I installed a new TV using the same wall mount as my previous 50" TV, but the new TV is stuck 4 inches. inches closer to the ground. It's great for the viewing angle, but it keeps the bottom of the new TV within 1 inch of my center channel speaker. The speaker blocked the IR signal from the remote when you sat down, requiring you to stand up to use the TV remote. This product's driver was thin enough to fit between the top of the speaker and the…
