If you have a TCL 55P605 or 607 then this remote extension is a must have. As you know; The TCL remote control sensor is located directly in front of the TV. So if you place the center speaker somewhere in front of it; It blocks the sensor, which is why the remote control does not work. The only other option is to purchase the $50 RC80 remote. The Cable Matters extension cord is much cheaper. Simply attach the sensor to the front of your TV, position the extension cable in line of sight of the remote control and turn on USB power. TCL has a USB port for HDMI on the side. The sensor is glued with double-sided tape, which holds well. Great article. Highly recommended.
