The perfect solution to my problem

Other reviews suggest this is a common problem: I installed a new TV using the same wall mount as my previous 50" TV, but the new TV is stuck 4 inches. inches closer to the ground. It's great for the viewing angle, but it keeps the bottom of the new TV within 1 inch of my center channel speaker. The speaker blocked the IR signal from the remote when you sat down, requiring you to stand up to use the TV remote. This product's driver was thin enough to fit between the top of the speaker and the bottom of the TV; The cables are long enough to fit through my closets and allow me to place the receiver on top of a cable box. Now the universal remote that I use for the TV and cable box can point at the cable box but control the TV just fine. The IR receiver seems sensitive enough that you can point the remote anywhere and it works great. The emitter comes with a very small piece of double sided tape which I felt wasn't sticky enough to attach to the speaker. It was easy to add a larger piece of tape and I added one to the receiver to attach to the cable box. You need a 5V USB wall socket to power it, but my AV receiver has 2 of these on the back so everything works perfectly. I use this in a rental property and the situation where you had to get up or raise the remote over your head to get the tv to work caused major problems for new renters every week. Now it works as it should, so it's worth the money.
