I've had it for a few weeks now and it works pretty well with a pair of 35w Monoprice 8 ohm bookshelf speakers. I use it in the office in combination with the Echo Dot and everything goes very well. What I like: - Sturdy construction. This item is not cheap. - Great sound, crystal clear, warm "tube" clips. Seriously, this thing sounds great. - Bluetooth is easy to use and works very well - I use unbalanced line for echo dot and BT for my mac or phone, it's perfect for office work. - All power conversion takes place outside the device, which means there is no noise. No one. Did I mention it sounds great? - Great headphone amplifier, except that it has a USB port, you can use it in many different ways. For the money you will love it. However, there are a few things I found annoying enough to mention (and why I gave it 4 stars out of 5): - The auto shut off feature needs to be overridden. I have to keep turning this thing back on. This is my main complaint. My use case is playing music using only voice commands, which makes getting up to go to the other side of the room to turn the amp back on really annoying. Maybe it can wake up on input or something? - The volume meter is not very useful. Even when using 50-watt speakers, it only occurs at a noticeably high volume. They mention in the guide that the VU doesn't show when the volume is too low, but their idea of low volume is very different from mine. - Remember I said the power transformer is outside of the device? This is a great thing because it isolates noise sources. But I wish the low voltage side of the power adapter (similar to a small laptop charger) was a bit longer. Its length is barely enough to reach the floor from a normal table height. Overall this is a great amp and for the price I wouldn't criticize it. This amp is a great addition to any audio lover's collection as it sounds amazing, it's small and can 'burst' anywhere you need it, and it will also effortlessly drive up to 2 x 50W speakers. If I could control the auto shut off feature I would give it 5 stars. A volume meter that requires what I consider excessive power to work isn't a big deal to me, but it might be to you. Buy it because the value of what you get far outweighs the little things. I will definitely review other products from this manufacturer because this thing sounds amazing.
