Review on 🏠 Govee Smart Dimmable Assistant: A Decorative Equivalent by Michelle Williams

I tried several other lamps that promised to surprise me but they were all returned and I was very disappointed. I couldn't even use them as main lighting as their very unnatural white light made me feel like I was in a warehouse. THESE bulbs looked just like the plastic bulbs that came out of the box, but were lightweight. which gave me hope for the hardware inside. To be fair I bought 4 headlights for my 2020 Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring and installed them for the kids so I'm good with the Govee app and to date very happy with the headlights I've always used. begins (they also survive 4 babies). Assuming they're from the same company, it wouldn't be hard to stick with what works, would it? I WAS RIGHT! Straight out of a Revain bag, 2 in my bedroom and 6 in my living room (I have rafters that illuminate a light on each side of the joists in the room). My personal method for maximum control over my headlights (although time consuming for 8 bulbs) is to install them individually! The reason is that when scanning bluetooth they show up as random names, this can be fixed later, but I wanted to know which bulb was installed in which location individually. Steps: 1. Download the Govee app.2. Launch the app and create an account (everyone can stop complaining about the need to create an account, you provide this information for phone games).3. In the application I selected the device tab, in the upper right corner I selected the plus sign. This brings you to all the device options that you can customize (surprising right?!), select interior lighting for these bulbs.4. VERY IMPORTANT (Steps 4-7): Choose H6003 bulb, if you choose other bulb, it will not work properly! Selecting a lightbulb takes you to a screen with two indicators and an Operation Confirmed button. You have to flip the power switch 5 times, let the light turn on, then wait a few seconds and turn it off for a few seconds FIVE TIMES. After that, the light turns on and starts flashing. Now press the "Operation Confirmed" button. Most houses have WiFi both 2.5 and 5, this app can ONLY USE 2.5 type internet. The next steps are to select Wi-Fi type 2.5 on your Bluetooth device and enter your home WiFi password (again, don't complain, you bought Wi-Fi ads). It may take a few seconds to cycle and connect to your Bluetooth device, it may direct you to stand closer to the light, standing under them with about 12ft 8 blankets was enough for me. Now you can rename your light and adapt it to the space by following the app's instructions (see my photos). You can also group the lights in a room or house so they all do the same thing, set the mood for different activities, create timers, create your own variables, use DIY options posted by the app community (it's seriously like pintrest), arrange parties. with music-activated lighting, or even use your Bluetooth device's camera and snap a photo of your favorite color to see how the light mimics it! I love Govee's ease of use, reliability and features. I just really like these new lights and am so pleased that I don't want other less tech savvy people to have a bad experience, wasting their time and misleading others. The individual colors got mixed up, then I had to figure out how to re-sync them and it took me a while to get them all back to a nice bright white color (very easy once you figure that out, pay attention on the tabs and what shines on you join the group). I'm also happy to report that these aren't some weird unnatural neon white so they're perfect for everyday wear, they can come in a yellowish, bluish or super white hue! My favorite is the Candles option in the Commands tab. All 6 lights in my living room are flashing at different times after a minute or two and it's really nice! All colors are also dimmable ;) In short, work with it and learn how to properly control the light before posting that you can't do anything. I had to look at posts where people claim that these bulbs don't group, don't sync, and don't have the same colors. Unless they get a completely different bulb or misconfigured them, don't talk about those bulbs. . I've bought enough of these (6 in a main room) to be sure I can post a reliable review on them. They are immaculate and do whatever you need. If you know how to use the application and set it up properly. Lights and app features. Be sure to read what each part of your purchase does, is it Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, do you want to use Google or Alexa help with them? These are the options offered for certain Govee products, allowing you to control your lights and other devices in the way that works best for you. Make sure you read and buy what's right for your home! Update: A few weeks later and I still LOVE these lights! Friends and family all jump on board and buy them. However, I can confirm that on several occasions one or more of my grouped 6 live lights have lost contact with the app. That means they don't turn on, change color, or turn off with the rest. I can say don't freak out and don't do anything rash. I've found that either changing the group lighting options multiple times or turning on the actual light switch multiple times for five seconds restores all to 100%. I know someone here swore they had to turn off all of their lights and unlink to get them back, which happened multiple times a week, and no, that's ridiculous. Because you have to keep the manual light switch on to have full control of your app at all times, it sometimes needs to be restarted to stay connected. Just like a phone or computer needs to be restarted from time to time to work properly. Love that last night I was 50ft away and my wife went to bed early but passed out by candlelight in the bedroom. From the couch I turned them off without waking him up :3 I just bought light strips for our 4 kids to install in their rooms. You will lose him by Christmas :D
