Review on πŸš— Metra 95-7522B Double DIN Dash Installation Kit for Mazda CX-5 2012-Present Cars by Bryan King

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works on Mazda CX-5. Just a few small notes

I bought this dash kit to use with an aftermarket head unit that I installed on my wife's Mazda CX-5. It works for this application and fits where the factory unit was installed. Pros: 1. The texture of the plastic seems to match the texture of the car, which is great2. The instructions are pretty good and the kit comes with extra parts meaning you don't have to salvage what was in your original car (clips mostly). Cons (and why I'm giving it 4 stars): 1. The screw holes aren't well marked and the plastic holding the screws on the sides is a little flimsy2. After installation, there was a small gap at the bottom of the radio. Not sure if it's because of the main unit or that installation kit but seems like they made it a bit larger to make sure all two din units fit. It doesn't matter, and in our setup you can't see the gap since you're looking a little higher at the device.

Pros
  • Lighting and Electrical
Cons
  • No Automatic
