I love this vest but only gave it 4 stars because the sizing was questionable. Many (most) reviews I initially read agreed that the vest runs small. I usually wear medium (US 8-10). So I increased the size by one size to Large as recommended. The item I received was huge! He came more like XL and swallowed me. I am sending it back, but I liked the vest very much, so I repeated the order. My normal size wasn't available in the color I wanted so I took a chance and downsized to S. I just received it and the little one fits perfectly. That's exactly what I wanted. I'm still confused by reviews that it runs small. It doesn't make any sense to me. At least order your normal size if you wear a bulky sweater under your vest, but I don't recommend going up a size.
