Child Airplane Safety Travel Harness: Ensuring Safe and Comfortable Aviation Travel for Kids Review

I ordered this for my 5 year old to better secure him in the airplane seat without having to carry a bulky car seat. It works as intended, but we ended up not using it. He wasn't nearly as quirky as I expected.

This seat belt is amazing! This works great for laying around an airplane seat. The quality is amazing. It was easy enough to adjust and attach/detach. Unfortunately, since the clips are not metal, I knew this would not be approved by the FAA. I still take it with me when I travel hoping airlines and flight attendants will allow it for my child. There are others here that are FAA approved. I want them to approve this FAA. If so, then it would have a sticker on it.

We have to travel so I have requested this via the vine, unfortunately due to the pandemic and health issues we have decided to postpone for the time being. With that in mind I can't really comment on how well it fits on the plane but I can tell you it's a very well made product and easy to set up. Every seam is very well finished and I feel this will protect my child and last a very long time. The appearance and color looks exactly as advertised, which makes me very happy.

PRO:1. Easy to take on the plane compared to a car seat. Fits in a small pocket.2. Fits most airline economy seats and possibly premium economy seats, but the person in the back seat may not be happy about the belt getting in the way of their tablet or TV. CONS: 1. Not FAA approved. Consequently, not all airlines will allow this product. For the price I paid I expected it to be FAA.2 approved. We thought it would be perfect for our little grandson who flies abroad a lot. While it meets the weight requirements, it's definitely not big enough. It looks well made and certainly gives an extra sense of security during takeoffs, landings and turbulence. However, it turns out that not every airline allows you to use them. This is a lifesaver for travelers with young children! Our family flies quite a bit. I usually fly my kids in a booster seat until they outgrow it, but after that it gets a bit sketchy until they're old enough to understand why staying buckled is important. They really need to stay buckled, but they twist out of the stock lap belt and don't understand why they have to leave it.
