Update: I've had this for over a year now and use it every day to make smoothies with whole almonds, veggies and whatever. I always have the perfect smoothie in 45 seconds. I love it! It's very easy to clean. Very happy with this purchase. (I'm used to the loud momentary noise it makes. It's a powerful machine.) It made smoothies better and faster than my blender. I just received it and have only used it once although I will use it every day for smoothies. Imagine you are operating a lawnmower in your kitchen. It's about as loud on high settings. If you're just making one smoothie, a 64-ounce container is insanely large. So I can see why you might want to buy a 20-ounce mug accessory ($129). Update in a month: I use it daily for green smoothies and am very happy with the purchase. It's scary loud, but I've come to terms with it. Rating changed from 4 to 5 stars
