Review on Thermaltake Contac Silent 12 CPU cooler, black by Micha Kobiaka ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I did not regret the purchase, everything is fine.

Powerful tower cooler on 4 U heat pipes with direct contact technology, which is able to please processors with a package of up to 130 watts out of the box with silence and good cooling. With refinement, that is, with the installation of a second fan, or one, but faster, it will be able to cool the heat of a 150W stone. A good purchase for those who want to take the goods of such a well-known manufacturer as Thermaltake for a reasonable price. Suitable for those who do not trust any gammaxes from dipkul and other incomprehensible towers.

Pros
  • - Affordable price for such a manufacturer - Direct tube contact, cool. - Good build quality and package (everything is smooth and neat) - Cable with 4pin connector with PWM support and braid. - Universal and suitable for AM4 out of the box. - The complete Carlson starts already from 500 rpm and works without sound, up to 1200 rpm, tolerably turns up to a maximum of 1500. - Can quietly cool the processor up to 130 watts, no matter what the specifications say.
Cons
  • - Fastening for Intel through a flimsy and dumb-looking adapter, like from a cheap deep cool. - The manufacturer declares the ability to cool 150W processors, but in reality already at 130+ on OCST, after 5 minutes, the temperature exceeds the allowable one. - Perhaps installing a faster and more productive or second fan will fix the problem.
