I've finally gotten rid of the 1980's plug-ins. I wonder why I didn't do this sooner! If you've lived with a plug for decades, you'll feel like it's going to change your life. No more fiddling with cords, checking lightbulbs, and then running around the house with extension cords to get to outlets. Bonus: I didn't even understand how the timer worked on them so I set them up the first night and the next night they turned themselves back on at the same time. Then I realized I could set a timer and they would turn on and off every night. And they did that all Christmas time. I have my first set of batteries so far and have been using them at night for over 4 weeks. I love that they come with a base and clip for each candle. Most of my windows have a ledge so they fit snugly, but one window (where the cat likes to sit) was better with a clip. They really make the house cozy on dark winter evenings so I'll probably leave them after Christmas - which I've never done before because I had those cords everywhere and I couldn't wait to pick them up and stop. Walk around the house every night, turning the candles on and off. Now I've set it to 6am from 5pm (it's dark here). I can just go to bed and not worry about an electrical problem with all those wires. (Did I mention how much I hated the old ones with cords?!)
