Ideal for hiking and walking with short, wide feet

I live on sandy gravel roads and it's hard to find good hiking shoes for short, wide feet. That is the answer. The fit is comfortable and the wide toe box really helps. The grip on the bottom keeps me from slipping and sliding over gravel and sand, even on steep slopes. And most importantly, they don't catch gravel in the treads like my other hiking shoes do. I don't mind tall boots, they don't chafe or anything, but now I realize I'd prefer low heels. instead, simply because I'm not used to tightening my ankles. It seems to offer a little more support though, so I'll try to get used to it. I have pretty average arches and they offer ample support. If you have high arches, you can purchase an insole for extra support. If you have a low to medium arch I think they will fit on their own. They're comfortable to breathe in warm weather and don't feel too heavy despite being a fairly durable shoe.
