Review on Sauder Beginnings 3-Shelf Bookcase: Cinnamon Cherry Finish for Stylish Organization by Paula Rodriguez

Tricky bottom shelf and load capacity unknown

Although I'm very happy with it, it's filled with books and looks lovely in my living room. However, assembling it wasn't as easy as buying a media center from them. There are no starting blocks for anything, and it takes a lot of effort to push the screwdriver down while trying to hold it together with the bottom, which is raised a few inches and doesn't even look like the top. I ended up splitting the MDF a bit for one of them, but I was fine with the rest. It would be helpful to make some small starting holes to get it lined up properly, so maybe poke in and remove a few nails before you start screwing it in, especially on the underside. You can also try using a cordless screwdriver. I also wish they included weight for the shelves. I have no idea how many pounds each shelf can hold. I could not find this information in the directions or listing on Revain. The media center I bought clearly listed £7. per shelf, and this allowed me to plan not to fill each one lest the shelves sag over time. I wish they would do the same for this product. I hope the shelves don't sag too much over time.
