Edit: Upgrading my rating from 1 to 3.5 stars. Ravelli's customer service has been exceptional since my review. They offered a different tripod (but it was too big/heavy for my needs) or a full refund. I have accepted the return. I really couldn't ask for better service. Very grateful for their customer service and hope their future product line will continue to improve and grow the business. ------ I stumbled upon this on the recommendation of Think Media. It was a poor record from them. I've used this 3 times, never intensely or anything. I just put this section on, probably for the first time, and at this point the thread had completely snapped. So this item is now useless. It's cheap but disappointing. I would have sent it back but I bought it expecting a new camera but by the time I decided to buy the camera the tripod was already out of return date. 3 uses and now I realize how cheap it is. It has some nice features: It's pretty light. Can stretch to a good height (72 inches). And cool legs are good. But it's too cheaply made to last more than 3-4 uses. Can't wait to see what else breaks.
