Hammock cups won't stick

Won't stick to window and will stay. They're very hard, rubbery, so I'm wondering if that's the problem. I'm not happy with them at all. In addition, it is difficult to attach the pole and the hole that is supposed to hold the suction cup to the hammock. This is all wrong, I wish I had the ones that originally came with Hamic, at least they sucked.
