Review on 500 2000 Sanding Sponges Sandpaper Flexible by Brian Kumar

I've bought a few of those cheap sandpaper products before, all with the same result. Grain size means nothing. There is no quality control on this material and most pads are much larger than the stated grit. For example, I had to use 1200-1500 grit sandpaper to get the equivalent of 400 grit sandpaper, and 2000 grit is closer to 600-800 grit. I tested them for feel and performance. I have a full set of 3M quality paper and it is easy to compare to this material. Even using the 1200-1500 pad as the 400 grit it took a few minutes for the grit to almost disappear when I used the 3M 400 for about 15 minutes straight and it still showed no signs of failing. I bought these to use with a mouse sander as they are large enough to be trimmed to size and shape, but just threw my money away.
