Mixed feelings on sockets and accessories

I'll start this review by not being an experienced handyman or electrician but have learned and installed many electrical parts over the years, mostly effortlessly. It's a combination of product and situation. The situation is that the cables available for connection are perhaps too thick, since they were routed for the kitchen, where they are intended to provide more power to powerful appliances (e.g. a multi-cooker, toaster, food processor, etc.) With this in mind it was very difficult to insert a loop of wire into these sockets, the hot screws are copper which is good but generally they are too short and made it very difficult to connect the wires which I will eventually call a pro and we will decide whether to insist or go to higher quality/price stores. Other people may have had a better experience.

Pros
  • Electrical
Cons
  • Requires socket
