I have been using this product for years and have never had the problems I am having now. About 1/3 of the time the tabs will come out on the wrong side of the band. When they are separated from the main roll, they are not attached to the bottom of the band, but to the top. Look at the picture - the tabs are at the top, not the bottom. You need to remove the dispenser cover and pull out the protrusions with tweezers. Not a very quick and efficient way to order scrap metal. You can't just keep going as the tabs will stick as they rotate around the tip to return to the empty reel. I just hope this reel is defective - I bought 5.
