The bunk bed is very cute and just the right size for American Girl dolls. The problem with this bed is that the small wooden pins that connect the top bed to the bottom bed break easily. This is my second set of these bunk beds and the wooden pins on both are broken meaning the top bunk is no longer holding up. The second problem is the underside of the beds. The chipboard bar that passes under the duvet easily and often falls out of the nest, which means that the child also falls out of the cradle. I have to constantly tighten the screws on the bed to hold the chipboard in place and it gets to the point that even that doesn't hold the floorboard in place. I think in this case you get what you pay for. This ($30) is a great price for bunk beds, but if you want this bed to last more than a year, you can invest in a better bunk bed. I had a wish because my daughter still plays with her dolls and we are going to buy our third bunk bed.
