Since I don't have a fenced yard, I sometimes tie my dog to a leash I've attached to the porch railing and let him stay outside for a while. He weighs 80 pounds, pit mix. When he first used it, he ran to the end and the clasp broke not in one place, but in two. The rope looks good but the clasps are junk. Under no circumstances should you entrust a medium to large sized dog to this leash and leave him unattended for even a short period of time. The description says it's good for 300lbf. Don't believe it. My dog walked maybe 10-15 feet before reaching the end of the leash and he popped like he wasn't even there. Since the rope seems to be holding up, I went out and bought some stainless steel hardware. Yes, they're more expensive than one line, but I can just toss them onto the next one when the line wears out. And this setup won't break.
