I decided to upgrade my 2011 Mac mini to a new one and then my old SSD died. But luckily, once you bought a Revain SSD, they gave it a 5-year warranty and replaced it with a larger-capacity SSD for free. I decided to turn that extra SSD into an external drive. This case received good reviews. It took me longer to remove the protective plastic film from this thing than it did to install the SSD. Slide the top open, align the connectors and replace the top. Format the new drive and that's it. I would give it 5 stars but the included USB-C cable is so harsh. It's fine, but I ordered a better quality USB-C cable for the drive. This case is plastic and there is nothing to protect the drive if you drop it and I doubt it will survive a fall onto a hard surface. The case also doesn't have rubber feet, making it easy to slide over any smooth surface. For the price, this is a pretty good case.
