I recently bought a new Macbook Air and didn't take into account the laptop's limited connectivity. I bought another dock that worked, but because it had to fit the laptop snugly and I have a protective cover on the top and bottom of the laptop, I had to remove the bottom protective cover to use it. Not perfect so I started looking again and found this. Not only is this perfect for one of the USB-C drives without having to remove the bottom cover, but with the HDMI port on this dock I now don't need an HDMI-to-USB-C adapter to connect to my to create a second screen.
