This camera is a bargain

This camera is a bargain. My only negative is that if you have big hands the trigger isn't where your index finger would normally fall. I wish the silver trigger had a texture so you know your fingertip is on it. So many useful features and the ergonomics of two dials are usually reserved for high-end cameras. I received the 18-135mm lens kit and it's an amazing lens. You can easily use this camera all day for 80% of your shots. Very sharp edge-to-edge IQ and fast autofocus, quiet like a DC motor and no screw drive. The autofocus is fast and I haven't noticed any stuttering even in low light indoors. The quick focus change gives you more control over your composition. Similar to the Sv setting, for ISO lock and automatic shutter and aperture selection. Very well thought-out functionality, menus and buttons. I usually use Av for depth of field control shots when I have enough light and can get a nice bokeh. The TV works well for portraits of fast-moving subjects such as babies, pets, or other squirming little creatures. TAv is also handy in that you can set the shutter speed and aperture with the dials. At the price of just a body, a body with an 18-55 or 18-135 lens, this camera offers great value for money. obsolete for many enthusiasts and people looking beyond point-and-shoot limitations but unwilling to move to more complex and expensive high-end options. If you find yourself outgrowing this camera, the Sony A6300 is a nice improvement over the MILC. It offers good value for money, but with even more features, but of course at a higher price.
