I understand that many quilters believe that only natural materials are suitable for sewing and quilting. While I generally stick to this rule, I've read a few things that make me wonder how this rule is set in stone, especially when it comes to quilting. This is a good 50w thread that I will use on my home machine when quilting small pieces. I can't straighten my long arm properly when trying to use this. Being new to my long arm I know the problem might be me and not the thread, but 40wt works great for me with no issues so I probably won't try this again on a big machine. I also think it's about the same as most high quality yarns in terms of pile. No more, but also no less, both in the area of the bobbin case and in the area of the needle of my household machine.
