Review on ARRMA RC Monster Truck ARA102727T2: Dominate Any Terrain in Style by Paul Rose

That's a great truck!

I have to say right away that this is a great truck. Not just for the process, but in general. I grew up with an RC but haven't had one for a long time but my 7 year old son showed a lot of interest in it so I did a bit of research and picked out a couple of trucks for the two of us. I bought an Arrma Big Rock 3 and gave it this Granite Voltage. This truck is impressive from the start. He's fast, he's tough and he definitely has balls. The included batteries are good enough for a quick 10 minute run, but I would recommend getting a 2 second lipo battery as they offer more power and run time. Make sure you buy the battery with the right connector and make sure it is a hard shell battery! Don't make the same mistake I did and buy one that doesn't come in a hard case - the wires get in the way and it will NOT fit. It's also worth noting that this truck is NOT fully waterproof as stated on the packaging. Because it claims to be totally waterproof or of course my son and I took it out in the snow. It worked fantastic, really, but eventually the servo said it had had enough and the steering spun right for hours before drying out. If this happens to you, don't panic just yet and just let it dry for a few hours. It goes well through puddles and such, but the chassis itself is narrow and doesn't offer adequate protection for the electronics. Remember. If you can't resist riding in wet terrain, I'd recommend covering the exposed connector on the servo with some stupid putty or something. In summary, this truck is fantastic. It's great not only for kids but also for adults.
