They look amazing hanging on my shadowbox wooden fence.They light up each post giving it a lantern effect. I was able to cover the solar panel and verify all bulbs worked as soon as I took it out of the box. The hanging tabs are sturdy and will increase cord life. So far they seem sturdy and weatherproof. I dont get more than a couplehours of light from them but there are 2 giant trees above them. If I had a longer extension cord to the solar panel I assume it would be longer giving more solar charge. Love them. I don't mind the distance between the bulbs it's at the far end of the yard so more for ambience and security but if you wanted to stagger 2 cords it would solve that problem and light the area more if you wanted.
