Great looks, easy to install, very durable

After cutting my feet on other deck fixings (nails and screws) Liked as a kid I really like the idea of a hidden fastening system, with which individual boards can be easily removed in the future. With other fastening systems I've seen, you'd have to grab a lot of boards to get to the damaged one, but this method of pushing the screws into a small gap seems to work beautifully. I bought a cheaper template because I did the work myself. . I managed to get down 500 square meters. ft. 5/4x6 boards in about 30 hours and it looks great. I used treated wood so we'll have to see how the boards hold up over the next 3-6 months. A few things to keep in mind when using this system: I ended up buying enough screws to make 650 square feet for just my 500 foot deck. My plank layout had no fancy patterns - only 1/3 of the moveable joint over a 40 foot length of 12 foot boards. A house). You can set the template so that this does not happen. Finally, in this case I just drilled the screws through the top of the board, and since it was machined wood, you probably won't even notice the holes left after the wood has swelled around the countersunk screws.* By 5/4 -inch boards you can leave your boards just 1/2 inch behind your strip supports before the screws will show. It's just the type of angle the jig makes. You can extend them further with thicker boards like 2x.* Don't miss any joists when screwing the boards on. Once the head is countersunk, the reverse threads on the head of the screw make it difficult to unscrew for re-sighting. This was a problem for me when I had to butt two boards together on the same joist. There are no special requirements here, just something to watch out for when mastering this system. I'm very happy with the final look and feel of my deck. Pop up. It is clean and makes a very robust impression. I recommend this system to anyone on a budget for the price.

Pros
  • CAMO side deck screws attach the boards to the joist over the edge without leaving fasteners on the surface
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
