Review on Unleash Photography Potential with High Power 500Mm 1000Mm Manual Telephoto Lens by Mike Pfettscher

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is a fully manual lens that brings back the fun of photography.

The recent Super Blood Wolf lunar eclipse was the reason I bought this lens. I have a Nikon D7500 and wanted to capture this astronomical event. The lens arrived exactly as pictured, with a T-adapter and several pages of instructions. Wind movements, etc. will cause camera shake. As I have read in some questions you MUST put the camera in manual mode and also the switch on the camera body must be set to M and not AF. a few test shots to get a good focus on the moon as it is very sensitive at such a long focal length. Once in focus, it stays in that position easily, making refocusing unnecessary for astronomical purposes. The instructions state that the only way to get the correct exposure is to adjust the shutter speed and ISO settings. If you are unfamiliar with your camera's manual controls, it can be difficult to get the results you want. Trial and error makes for an AMAZING lens for the price. Would I buy again and now I don't need it, it goes with my camera bag in the future. I've attached a lunar eclipse montage with the results shown. As mentioned before about camera shake, I recommend using the mirror function when using this lens. to reduce jitter, and a VERY solid tripod is a must! Even with shutter speeds below 1/1000s, the use of a remote release is highly recommended.
