The fit, finish and sharpening of these knives is the first thing I researched and they are top notch - the same or better than knives that cost a lot more. These knives hold the blade very well. I love that the set of items in this set is more useful than other sets I've seen and I'm going to use them all in the kitchen. They are all beautiful to look at and a pleasure to handle.
