Polyethylene = hard plastic, not rubber
Partly my fault for not researching what "polyethylene" is, but this is the first car mat I've seen that's made of hard plastic and not rubber/flexible. It has a "texture" (little bumps built into the molding) but I still feel it tears easily and is too slippery when wet for my active kids. We will come back and buy an expensive but good quality rug directly from the dealer.
