If you're thinking of using it as a wrist bag keep looking for
I'm sure it would make a good makeup bag but personally I bought this hoping it would make a good tote bag and tote bag would be you. Wallet and phone in one large lunch bag for work. In the photos it appears to be long rather than tall and flat on top. It's actually as tall as it is wide and the opening is very curved so it looks exactly like a cosmetic bag, not a wallet. Keep that in mind if you're looking for an alternative use for this bag.
