Apple Pencil won't fit in case without modification

Griffin Survivor cases are great and this option would be perfect if you could connect your Apple Pencil to an iPad with a case. There is a plastic clip preventing you from doing this. I just cut it off and sand down the sharp edges. You would think a manufacturer would test something like this before releasing it to the public?

Pros
