Marketing Scam!: Nitric Oxide Booster

These strips are a marketing scam from a company trying to sell you overpriced nitric oxide supplements. First, salivary NO is not a good predictor of plasma NO levels. See the article Relationship between plasma and salivary NOx. The study notes that "these results suggest that measurements of salivary NO3, NO2, or NOx are not good indicators of endothelial function.", "low," or "very low." And they will almost always tell you that your levels are low or very low, even if you take a lot of nitric oxide supplements. They don't tell you what they think is the optimal level, it's just a level that they think is optimal. And what is your solution for low nitric oxide? Of course, buy Super Beets or NEO40 supplements sold by the SAME COMPANY! Of course they do those strips always telling you you're low or super low so you keep buying their supplements! What is Super Beet and NEO40? Just stale beetroot powder, citrulline, etc. Cheap supplements command outrageous prices. So it's all a big marketing scam to trick you into buying their overpriced supplements without actually telling you your nitric oxide levels. But at least super high nitric oxide is good for you, so it's not such a bad thing, is it? In fact, high levels of nitric oxide cause all sorts of medical problems. Nitric Oxide acts as a neurotransmitter and lowers serotonin levels. It can cause anxiety, insomnia, depression, heartburn, GERD, and all kinds of skin problems. And if you find that your arthritis occurs when you take nitric oxide supplements, that's because nitric oxide causes arthritis. Increasing your nitric oxide levels can be beneficial as you age, but if you continue to use these strips and keep supplementing them until you reach super high levels, you could be doing more harm than good. Basically, all these strips are telling you is that your nitric oxide levels will always be low unless you're pumping up on their supplements. Their supplements are overpriced. Avoid this company!
