My hair has been in intensive care for the last 6 weeks. Background: I used a new hair color that completely dried out my hair. As a result, the curls were dry, damaged, frizzy, and looked - and felt - like an unfortunate LOL bird's nest. Having never had a hair problem, you can imagine my dismay. I desperately searched for solutions and restored my hair with 1) Olly hair vitamins for shiny hair; 2) weekly deep conditioning with Olaplex thermal cap; and 3) Olaplex Shampoo and Conditioner #5. Results in a month - healthy hair with no breakage (thinking about it after writing this, I'll be praising Olaplex). So you can see that I take great care and care with my newly restored locks. Long story short I bought this iron based on the reviews and they all did not disappoint! It surpassed all of my previous ones including Chi. My hair is wavy (biracial), prone to frizz from humidity and is medium length to the shoulders. I used it at 450 degrees because my hair loves heat. Two wipes from each partitioned area. The hair is soft and shiny. It's wet right now, so the real test will be how the manufacturer says it lasts up to 48 hours. However, I'm now giving it 5 stars for ease of use, quick heat-up times, and great results, not to mention the affordable price.
