I ordered two of these sets and now I understand that I not only want more, I need more. You'll find that they aren't easy to detach when they're not connected to anything, but that's a good thing because they won't accidentally detach. When attached to things, it's not difficult to lift the collar to separate your belongings. The tension is strong enough not to let you down even with the heaviest objects. I originally got them for my Zhiyun Weebill S, but now I use them as quick release skewers on many parts of my gear. In fact, the uses are endless and I wish I had originally ordered five sets of these to start with. I can't imagine not wanting to add them to my kit. Now I can easily swap out monitors, stabilizers and other parts on the boom or stationary cam unit.
