The scanner comes with a soft case, so you may not need it.
I bought an NT510 scanner for my BMW which gave wheel sensor codes. The scanner comes with a soft pouch which suits my needs so I sent it back. This suitcase is slightly larger and has a tougher shell, so it might be better for you if you need to pack up your travel gear or dump it with a bunch of tools. For me it wasn't necessary.
