Bought for cats. Unfortunately, UPS left the box on the floor. The wildcats must have peed on the box. It smelled bad. I threw the box away. Apparently my cat sniffed it. He ended up using it as a piss pad. It's just a plastic mat that gets a little warm. Putting him in a cat bed and covering him with a blanket may work. My cats didn't want anything to do with it as they aren't lying on hard plastic. My cats are too smart to lie on it. money thrown away. It doesn't look like a human heating pad. I think that's why it's safe. I made a bad decision. Didn't suit my cats.
